A little while back we put out a casting call for someone who had never moved with us before but would be willing to start AND be willing to document their journey. That’s a pretty big ask and we’re so excited to introduce the brave soul who signed up to do this with us!
Casting call: A Formation Filming project
We are looking to document the experience of someone brand new to Formation. Over an eight week period we want to explore the multifaceted changes that someone experiences as they begin taking classes with Formation. We’re not doing this for a before and after photo, we’re looking to learn about your internal shifts, the perspective changes, the lessons and successes.
The Mental Habit that Got Me into the Best Shape of My Life
I wrote this at the end of 2018 reflecting on the year’s prior health journey and have been waiting for the right time to share. Form-Nation, I hope it can offer something of value to you. This isn’t a diet or fitness plan post. But there is something I did that I think was hugely influential in me getting into what I feel was the best shape I’ve ever been in.
Transformation: Presence
Today my 3-year-old son, Grayson, looked at me and exclaimed “Today is a happy day! Let’s dance, Mommy!” I obviously obliged. I reveled in how he associated happiness with dancing. We danced and I relished in the moment. I connected with him, connected with the music, and connected with my mind, body and soul. It was a beautiful moment. It was beautiful because I was present.
