SCULPT
Mat-based strength class designed to build muscular endurance and define every part of you. Music drives the tempo. Reps go where the beat takes them.
SCULPT is Formation's floor-based strength class. You're on the mat for most of it — working through resistance sequences that target the full body with the kind of slow, controlled intensity that builds real muscular endurance.
The music sets the tempo for every rep. Slower bass lines mean longer holds. Faster beats mean more reps. Your body learns to find strength in rhythm. It's lower-impact than FREEDOM or STEP, but don't mistake lower-impact for easier — you'll feel SCULPT deeply for a day or two after your first class.
Great for anyone who wants to build strength without the noise of a weight room, or who needs a lower-impact day that still challenges.
A typical SCULPT class.
SCULPT moves methodically through the body, section by section, music block by music block.
Activate. Mobilize. Connect.
SCULPT warm-ups focus on joint mobility and activation — priming the muscles that are about to work long and hard. Slow, intentional movement to get the body ready.
Arms, shoulders, back, chest.
Resistance sequences targeting the upper body using bodyweight, bands, or light weights. Reps sync to the beat — the music tells you when to push and when to hold.
Deep work. The section everyone remembers.
SCULPT core work is thorough. Planks, pulses, rotational work — all synced to music. Your Motivator coaches form throughout so you're working correctly, not just working.
Glutes, legs, hips — full depth.
Floor-based lower body work targeting the muscle groups most people don't access fully in upright training. Bridges, hip thrusts, single-leg variations — all music-driven.
Longer cool-down than most classes.
SCULPT classes end with a real stretch — 10–12 minutes targeting everything that worked. You earned it. Take your time.
Arrive 15 minutes early.
We'll get you set up with a mat, any equipment you might need, and answer questions before class starts.
Strength without the noise.
SCULPT attracts people at very different points in their fitness journey — here's why.
SCULPT is not a recovery class. It's a targeted strength class. Lower-impact means no jumping, not no effort. You'll feel this one the next morning.
Bodyweight resistance on a mat is an ideal first strength class. No weights to load, no machines to figure out. Your Motivator coaches every movement with form cues throughout.
SCULPT's low-impact nature makes it a thoughtful choice for people rebuilding strength after injury. Always clear with your physio first — your Motivator can offer modifications.
SCULPT is the ideal counter to high-cardio days. The strength work fills in the gaps that cardio alone creates.
Mat class gear.
SCULPT is primarily on the mat, sneakers give you better stability for floor work than regular sneakers. grippy socks also fine.
On-the-mat work means your Motivator needs to see your form. Fitted leggings and a fitted top help with coaching and your own body awareness.
Less sweat than cardio classes, but you'll still want water for floor work and the stretch at the end.
Mats, bands, and any light equipment used in class are provided. Towels and lockers are included. Just arrive.
